Hey everyone!

It’s been a while since my last blog and life has been good since then!

WPT UK

At the start of October I went to WPT UK in Dusk Till Dawn. I always like going to Dusk. Dusk is so handy to reach from Ireland and I love lots of the UK players. The atmosphere over there was great as always. I really enjoyed playing and had some lovely tables full of friendly players. Unfortunately, I didn’t make day 2 of the main and my best run was in a £300 side-event where I came 13th. The highlight of the trip was catching up with everyone and going for a lovely dinner with the partypoker crew!

The partypoker Galway Mini Grand Prix

Once I got home from the UK, I was grinding online as usual and also played the partypoker Mini Grand Prix in Galway. I played one of the online day 1s and qualified for the live day 2 via that. The online day 1s for these events are brilliant – so convenient and if you make day 2 you get a min cash!

On the day of the event, I thought I left with lots of time to get to The Eglington casino but I didn’t realise the annual Macnus parade was on in Galway. Traffic and parking were a nightmare! I ended up being about 30 minutes late! By the time I arrived I had a 14bb stack- oops! Fortunately, I got lucky early when I was all in with JJ vs KK and binked a jack on the turn.

From there, I had a lot of fun. For most of the rest of the event I had a monster stack. Unfortunately, I ended up coming 3rd for €2,200 but I really enjoyed playing this event. Every time I play live in Ireland I’m blown away by how kind and supportive everyone is to me and I feel really lucky to be an Irish partypoker pro. Thanks to everyone who came over to wish me luck and say they are following my poker journey – I appreciate it so much and it is lovely to hear!

Heading off to the Caribbean Poker Party

The partypoker LIVE Caribbean Poker Party kicks off in a few days.  I can’t express how excited I am about going! It is so cold and wintery here on the west coast of Ireland and I absolutely cannot wait to get some sunshine!

My first trip as a partypoker pro was two years ago when I went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for the CPP. I have great memories of that trip so I’m super excited about going again. This year the event is on in the Baha Mar in the Bahamas. My friends have told me the resort is absolutely stunning so I can’t wait to get there! This event has it all – sunshine, a beautiful location and lots of amazing events! It’s the perfect poker vacation in my opinion and probably the nicest one for couples.

Everyone knows I love grinding online but lately I’ve also been enjoying playing live a lot more. I feel  much more comfortable live than I used to and I’m more motivated to travel to play some more. I’ve probably never felt as excited to play live as I feel for this trip. The Main Event has a $10M prizepool which is just staggering to me!

To follow my adventure in the Caribbean follow me on Instagram or add me on Facebook! I’ll be posting lots of stories and I’ll post a trip report here when I get home! Best of luck to everyone else going and I’ll see you there!
